Web Detailer is Don and Rita, married, and running this business together since 1999. When you call, you get one of us, not a support queue, not an account rep reading from a script, and not a rotating cast of contractors. Every project that comes through Web Detailer is handled personally, by the two people who own it.

Don is a U.S. Air Force veteran, and Rita is a woman business owner and co-founder. That's not a marketing angle. It's just who actually owns and runs this company.

Don Butto

Co-Owner · Lead Programmer & Project Manager

Over 30 years in IT and a Desert Storm veteran who served as a network systems administrator with the U.S. Air Force. Before Web Detailer, Don was the United States Project Manager for New Technology at GlaxoSmithKline, and a Project Lead and Database Architect on a U.S. Department of Defense project at General Dynamics (GTE Government Systems before its acquisition). For Don, attention to detail and project ownership come first. Every engagement is run the way he’d want his own project run.

Rita Daniels

Co-Owner · Internet Marketing Specialist & Project Coordinator

Over 20 years managing teams and working closely with designers, developers, and marketing specialists to plan and coordinate every project so it lands on time and within budget. Don's wife, and equal owner of the business.

How We Work Together

Don builds. Rita is who you’ll actually talk to.

Don is the creator, not the maintainer, deep in the technical work and exacting about getting every detail exactly right. He’ll also be the first to tell you he’s not the warmest voice on the phone. He’s direct, he’s geeky, and he’s not losing sleep over whether that’s easy for everyone.

Rita is the one clients want to talk to. She’s the crisis manager, the people person, the calm Southern voice on the other end of the line who makes a problem feel handled before it’s even fixed, and she’s on that phone constantly.

Don is detail-obsessed; Rita just wants it done. Individually, they’d both tell you they’re a little rough around the edges. Together, they fill in exactly what the other one doesn’t cover, which is the whole reason this partnership, and this business, works.
